On the night of the Christmas City of the North parade, we ventured down to the Nordic Center for its celebration of Pepperkakebyen (roughly Gingerbread Town).
There were dozens of gingerbread houses built by kids of all ages, handmade decorations and lights everywhere. That evening there were Scandinavian crafts for kids, cedar and cookies for all. It’s a holiday celebration that keeps growing every year, and one that would fit nicely into your plans next year.
